Information for Virgin mobile PAYG customers

Virgin Media's Pay As You Go service is coming to an end by January 2022.

"VIRGIN Media has announced they're axing their pay-as-you-go (PAYG) plans. The 123,000 affected customers will be given the option to change their tariff or move providers, according to a Virgin Media spokesperson. But if they haven't moved by the end of January 2022, they'll be cut off altogether."

We have already had many requests from customers who do not want to switch to a Virgin contract and wish to move to 1pMobile, so we have produced this page to provide Virgin mobile PAYG customers with information they may need before making the switch.

How good is 1pMobile's coverage?

Virgin mobile and 1pMobile both use the EE network (some more recent Virgin customers are on the Vodafone network), so you will get exactly the same coverage. Want to keep your Virgin mobile number?

If you wish to keep your Virgin mobile number you will need to contact them for a PAC so you can transfer (port) your number to us. You can do this by texting the word PAC to 65075 or calling them on 789 from your Virgin mobile or 0345 6000 789 from any other phone.

If you have not already ordered a SIM card then please do so NOW. Once we have processed the order you will be able to login to your 1pMobile account, activate the SIM and provide your PAC details.

All requests for porting your number from Virgin have to be with us by 4:30pm on Friday 14 january 2022 if you wish the port to occur before Virgin PAYG closes.
